Simple Steps for better skin

Is it me or is skincare really overwhelming these days? 15-steps? But I can barely remember what day of the week it is. These are products I never forget to use because I have seen a visible difference in my skin when using them. Disclaimer: Skincare is not universal, I can’t tell you how many times I tried to convince myself an expensive product was working for me but my skin had other ideas, so don’t force it. Enjoy the process of learning what works for you, don’t try to do too much at once! Here are small steps to show your skin some love.

Exfoliating Mask

Kora Organics’ Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating is my favorite recent beauty find. Use 1-2 times a week for a fresh face. My skin is always brighter and smoother after using this mask. I have sensitive skin and it’s not too harsh while getting results! It won’t turn your into Miranda Kerr (I wish, right?) but it does the job!

Ice Roller

I use the Skinny Confidential Hot Mess Roller, it’s the crème de la crème of ice rollers. I  ice roll every morning after I meditate and it not only de-puffs but the ice cold temperature is a good kick to wake you up and start your day!

Baby Washcloths

Think “smooth as a baby’s bottom.” I started using baby washcloths to wipe off masks and dry my skin after cleansing. I also have a different set I use during my Peloton rides to wipe sweat off my face. Regular towels can be harsh on your skin so this simple switch will make a HUGE difference. Tip: Wash these in fragrance free laundry detergent.

Dry Brush

I think often we forget skincare is more than just our face but our whole body is so important. I dry brush (I use this Goop one!) before I shower to start the exfoliation process.You don’t have to scrub, gentle, circular motions do the trick. Another benefit I’ve noticed as a puffy girlie is improved circulation. Even if you just add this once or twice a week you’ll see a big difference.
